I don't know what I'm listening to yo.... But it is one of the most interesting things I have heard today.

haha, cheers game krazzy :)

Long time no see Waterflame... sorry I've been fairly inactive as of late.

Digging this tune btw. It's always moving and energy is off the charts. It would fit a beat em up style game really well.

All the bridges between parts are done really well, and the arpeggios at the end are a nice touch. The ending was a bit weird but it made me smile, so yeah. GOOD JOB!

Waterflame responds:

Thank you! :D

Hey man! I haven't been very active as of late... Saw this and thought I'd check it out!

Awesome song! Flows nicely! No problems with the mixing! Kept me entertained the entire time!

8-bitheroes responds:

Welcome back man, thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it :)

Hey Teo, long time no review from me eh?

I looked it up by the way, and the reason this chord progression sounds so familiar, is because it's the I-V-vi-IV progression.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia,

"The I–V–vi–IV progression is a common chord progression popular across several genres of music. It involves the I, V, vi, and IV chords; for example, in the key of C major, this would be: C–G–Am–F.[1]

The V is often replaced by iii ("Price Tag"), III ("If We Ever Meet Again" chorus), ii ("Halo"), I ("Doesn't Mean Anything"), II ("Try Too Hard" by P!nk), IV ("I Gotta Feeling").

A 2009 recording by the comedy group The Axis of Awesome, their "Four-Chord Song", in D major (thus using the chords D major, A major, B minor, and G major), is a widely viewed clip on YouTube.[2]"

Great job on the song, does justice to your name as it is quite tasteful. I especially like your use of the repeat in the higher octave about 2 minutes in. Anyways, good to hear another song of yours, and sorry I have not been reviewing your works as much... been really busy.

TastyTeo responds:

Thanks, that high pitched part is my favorite too :D

Great to see another amazing piece from you. Recognized your username and saw you got front paged so I thought I'd check it out!

I really like this improv piece. Very fluid and a nice piece to listen to. I really don't have much else to say about it though, as you said it's just improv and no mastering or anything was done, so I feel that the necessity of pointers as far as that goes would be pointless. Anyways, overall, this piece has a lovely sound. I am digging this piano sound "The Giant" you are using. Great job overall, hope to hear more from you.

BlazingDragon responds:

Thanks so much for checking out my piece and for not knocking me points due to a lack of mixing and mastering. I appreciate your understanding about that. :)

Thats some funky vibes you got going there Jovis!

The theme fits well with the story. Also I really enjoy the melody line, although IMO it fits a video game better then a movie.

I really think you did a great job on this piece. I hear no flaws, and enjoyed listening to it.

SourJovis responds:

Thank you. I think it would work either as opening theme for a tv show, or as opening or first stage for a game. I don't know what would work best. Depends on the game or show.

Long time no see buddy!

It's good to hear from you again, and I like this song you have here. It is really calm and moving. The flow is perfect, slowly carrying you along for the ride. The way you keep everything entertaining, constantly moving the piece is well done and it invokes such a presence with the listener. It's great to hear from you again Openlight!

OpenLight responds:

It's great hearing from you again too! I'm trying to make something that's not as slow soon, but we'll see if I can get anything off the ground.

This is a good tune to listen to. I'm glad you remixed it. :P
Good work as always Teo!

I can't think of anything to really critique you on except maybe the ending, and in my personal opinion this is a really good remix. If anything, I don't really like the ending, and would have preferred something along the lines of a fade out or something like that, but that's just my personal opinion. Overall it is a good remix.

TastyTeo responds:

Yeah personally i liked that kind of ending that's a kind of taste :P thanks for the review buddy!

Again a great piece. I find it quite hard to critique you Step. You make amazing pieces, and most of my points come from my personal opinion, in which it is very hard to find anything that I dislike in your song. However there is one thing that I definitely noticed. You don't make loops very often do you?

When you export your song as an MP3 there should be an option to wrap the ending which "Should" take your lasting effects at the end of the piece and wrap it into the beginning of the piece. I use this for loops all the time, and in this piece, I feel it is quite necessary so you don't get that distinct cut off. Either way, I think you should play with that ending bit just a bit and see if you can't get it to play out that way, as that would make a huge difference in the quality of the loop!

Overall this is a fantastic piece and I am not going to let that looping bit muddy your score. 5 out of 5 Step. You deserve it as this is a great piece of music!

Step responds:

Wow, thanks for yet another review!

Really makes my day getting comments like "you make amazing pieces". Means a lot!

Yes I don't make loops often HOW'D you guess.

I actually intended to wrap the ending, I can't believe I forgot. Thanks for reminding me, I'll hop to it tomorrow.

Thanks again!

Well I am enjoying the feel of this piece quite well. At 0:33 everything kinda became muddied together, and I think you could work on your note velocities around there. The out of tune part at 1:19 is more annoying and in my opinion doesn't add much to the song.

Overall though I still like this song, and it loops quite well.

ThePal responds:

I don't know if I agree with you at the 0:33 part, and what are you getting at, the drums here or the sine rhythm? And if it would be anything, I'd believe it would be a mastering problem.

And at the 1:19. That's just up to the part where the lead from "A Handy Lass" comes up, do you mean the bell, or the lead?

Just send me an PM with your reply, please. :)

Though, Thanks alot for coming with a thoughtful review!

I am creative and love to draw, cartoon, write music, animate... I believe that with enough work Newgrounds will come to see that I have what it takes to be what I believe I can be. Thank You Newgrounds.
